A new HSX model shaped by flagship grade engineering
Acoustune’s second TWS release the HSX One

Tokyo Onkyo Co., Ltd. is pleased to announce the launch of “HSX One,” the second TWS (True Wireless Stereo) product from its earphone brand Acoustune. The new model will be available in two colors: Graphite and Crystal. Leveraging the expertise gained from developing higher-end models, HSX One delivers the signature HSX-series acoustic engineering at a more accessible price point.

■ Acoustic design inheriting the chamber‑separated structure of the HSX series

In the previous model, HSX1001, the acoustic chamber and wireless module were separated, enabling the use of a metal housing for the acoustic section-something difficult to achieve with conventional TWS products. While HSX One does not feature a physically separated chamber and module, it incorporates design know‑how derived from the HSX1001 architecture. The metal housing, precisely machined by CNC, contains the driver unit, while the wireless module is integrated into a high‑precision polycarbonate case. These components are unified in a way that prevents mutual interference. Additionally, a newly implemented ANC (Active Noise Cancellation) microphone is mounted with high precision, achieving excellent acoustic performance.

■ Equipped with an improved 3rd generation Myrinx driver developed exclusively for HSX One

HSX One features Acoustune’s proprietary Improved 3rd‑Generation Myrinx Driver, also used in the flagship HSX1001. The polymer biomaterial Myrinx, used in artificial skin and surgical sutures, offers exceptionally high acoustic performance as a diaphragm material. The 10mm Myrinx diaphragm, optimized for the driver structure, combines light weight with high strength and flexibility, enabling high‑resolution sound reproduction with excellent transient response and a wide dynamic range. Because the internal structure differs from HSX1001, HSX One uses a dedicated Myrinx driver unit acoustically tuned specifically for the back‑chamber volume of this model. The acoustic characteristics—particularly in the low‑frequency range, which is susceptible to standing waves—have been adjusted to maximize noise‑cancelling performance. This HSX One‑optimized tuning unlocks new potential in the Myrinx driver.

■ ANC that delivers Acoustune sound in any environment

HSX One is the first Acoustune TWS (True Wireless Stereo) model to feature ANC (Active Noise Cancellation). By reducing ambient noise, it enhances immersion and allows listeners to enjoy the refined sound produced by the Myrinx driver in a wide range of environments. The model also includes an ambient sound mode, ensuring safe and comfortable use when you need to hear surrounding voices or environmental sounds.

■ Wireless module co-engineered with ANIMA

The wireless module in HSX One was co‑engineered with ANIMA, a company with extensive experience in TWS earphone development. It supports high‑quality codecs such as aptX Adaptive. By connecting to the ANIMA smartphone app ANIMA Studio, users can easily adjust device settings, update firmware, switch ANC modes, and change Bluetooth codecs (Android only). The app also supports Advent Voice, allowing users to switch system and operation sounds, just like with ANIMA products.

■ Modern translucent design with two distinct personalities: Graphite and Crystal

HSX One features a layered structure consisting of a metal housing (acoustic section) and a polycarbonate case (wireless module section). The CNC‑machined, anodized metal housing contains the driver unit, and the earphones come in two visual styles: the calm, refined Graphite and the clear, luminous Crystal. The mechanical Acoustune aesthetic is combined with a modern translucent design. This design theme extends to the charging case as well, offering a unified look and feel every time you pick it up.

Physical buttons are placed on the faceplate of each earphone, allowing reliable operation with tactile and audible feedback.The charging case supports wireless charging-simply place it on a compatible charger.
