The HS2000MX SHO MKII continues to use the proven "Mirrinx composite driver with Japanese beryllium thin film dome" for the diaphragm, and optimizes the acoustic tuning by combining it with an acoustic chamber body made of CNC-cut OFC (oxygen-free copper). The bass peak of the tuning used up until now not only the width of the sound field but also the depth, producing rich music.

About Sunspots

This product uses OFC material, which is copper with a purity of 99.99% or more and does not contain any oxides.

Due to the nature of the material, oxidation (rust) begins the moment it comes into contact with air, so the OFC chamber is coated with a coating that slows down oxidation. However, in principle, oxidation begins during processing, and black spots (oxidation) may be visible in some areas. Currently, it is very difficult to completely prevent the occurrence of these black spots, so this is not a defect.

Furthermore, although the above coating makes it less likely for black spots to appear over time, due to the characteristics of the product, we recommend wiping off any dirt, such as sebum, with a dry, soft cloth after use.

*Using cleaning agents, compounds, hard cloths, etc. may cause the coating to peel off and oxidation to spread rapidly.

Acoustune Capsule Technology (ACT)

A major feature of previous Acoustune products was the use of a modular structure in which the acoustic chamber and the mechanical housing were completely separate. This time, the modular structure has evolved even further. For the first time, Acoustune Capsule Technology (ACT) has been adopted, which allows users to replace the acoustic chamber themselves by opening and closing the movable outer housing with high precision and little rattle, and can also accommodate future options and upgrades.

Latest Mirinc composite dynamic driver with Japanese beryllium thin film dome

The traditional feature of the driver unit in Acoustune earphones is the "Mirx diaphragm" made of medical grade polymer biomaterial as the base material, combined with a "Japanese-made beryllium thin film processed dome". We were able to realize this by reviewing materials that could not be used in conventional products due to the balance between availability, mass production, and cost, and by developing new suppliers. While retaining the characteristics of dynamic drivers such as seamless, smooth, linear reproduction and rich bass across the entire frequency range, the high-rigidity metal dome suppresses resonance and achieves tight, well-controlled bass. It plays music like a well-organized orchestra.

ARS100 cable provides excellent overall balance

The cable uses Acoustune's new generation cable ARS100 series. After much trial and error with the wire material, number of cores, and braiding method, we decided to use the ARS100 series, which is equivalent to the standard product, taking into consideration the high level of completion as a cable and the overall balance of the earphones. We continue to use wire material developed in collaboration with a manufacturer specializing in audio cables, with a 16-core hybrid cable made of silver-coated OFC wire and ultra-fine OFC wire, and Pentaconn Ear terminals made by Nippon Dix.

While still using metal parts with high precision machining, the connector, splitter, earphone jack and other metal parts are gunmetal colored to match the color of the earphone body, creating a harmonious look for the entire earphone and creating a sense of luxury.

Newly includes "AEX70"

Based on the shape of the Acoustune "AEX07" ear tips, it uses SMP Technologies' shape memory polymer "SMPiFit®", which has been used in the AEX50. The shape has been fine-tuned and the thickness has been changed to take into account differences in materials. The material's characteristics provide excellent shape recovery and fixation, and a stable fit, so this product has a light and comfortable fit by reducing the thickness while maintaining sufficient retention and fit. Three sizes are included: S/M/L.

Newly shaped ear tips "AEX50"

The new ear tip "AEX50" that is included for the first time with this product is made of SMP Technologies' shape memory polymer "SMP iFit®" and has a double wing shape. This product uses the AEX50 as the reference ear tip. The wide wing part adheres to the skin near the entrance of the ear canal over a larger area than regular ear tips. In addition, combined with the material's characteristic of maintaining its shape when worn, it fits snugly in the ear near the entrance of the ear canal, so there is no need to insert it all the way in, eliminating any discomfort. In addition, the position of the ear tip ensures a larger volume of space in the ear canal, so you can feel a different sound field than with regular ear tips. A total of five sizes, XS/S/M/L/XL, are included, one pair each, to support fitting for more people.

The new reference ear tip "AEX07" has been renewed

In addition to the AEX50, the AEX07 is also included, which is a renewed version of the reference ear tip AET07, which is also used in the development of Acoustune earphones as a standard type ear tip. Based on the basic design of this product, which has a long history of being bundled and shipped separately as a standard ear tip, we have fine-tuned the shape and reviewed the size variations based on the numerous ear shape data obtained from the production of the 3D custom fit intershell "ST1000". One pair of each of the three sizes S/M/L is included.
