Tokyo Onkyo Co., Ltd. (Head Office: Toshima-ku, Tokyo) will begin accepting pre-orders for the “ACT77,” an interchangeable acoustic chamber compatible with the HS3000 and HS2000 series, developed as a collaboration model between the earphone brand CF Audio and Acoustune, starting on MM DD (W), 2026. This product is an exchangeable chamber compliant with Acoustune’s modular standard, Acoustune Capsule Technology (A.C.T.), and CF Audio supervised everything from material selection to acoustic design. The dynamic driver features a diaphragm with a special metal deposited dome structure, and the model also includes a 4.4 mm balanced cable optimized specifically for ACT77, delivering exceptional sound quality.

■What Are Acoustic Chamber Modules for the HS3000 & HS2000 Series?

The HS3000 and HS2000 series feature Acoustune’s unique A.C.T. mechanism, which allows users to open and close the movable outer housing to replace the acoustic chamber module. This mechanism enables users to freely combine modules with different sound signatures and designs according to their preferences and intended use.
With the addition of the newly introduced ACT77, the lineup now includes ACT02, ACT03, ACT04, ACT05, ACT06, ACT07, ACT47, ACT63, and more. Each model differs in driver configuration, housing material, and sound tuning, allowing users to enjoy a variety of listening experiences simply by swapping modules.

■CF Audio’s Dynamic Driver Featuring a Special Metal Deposited Dome Structure

This product is a special collaboration model created with the Chinese audio brand CF Audio. Under the supervision of CF Audio’s lead developer, the ACT77 was developed with the concept of “rich low frequencies and extended mid–high frequencies.”
Achieving both lush bass and extended upper ranges was far from easy. To reach the ideal sound quality, extensive time was spent selecting the material and thickness of the center dome. The result is a 10.2 mm dynamic driver featuring a special metal deposited dome diaphragm.
The included cable was also tuned specifically for the ACT77. After repeated trials with various wire materials, 5N LCOFC silver plated wire was selected.

■Dynamic Aluminum Housing Design

The housing of the ACT77 is made from lightweight CNC machined aluminum, chosen to match the multi strand dedicated cable.
The top of the chamber features a new design inspired by CF Audio’s brand owner, Mr. Chen, who is also a kung fu master. The flowing curves express dynamic movement, evoking imagery of magatama or yin yang fish, creating a unique and energetic impression.
When attached to the HS3000 or HS2000 series, the ACT77 enhances both the appearance and sound, offering an upgrade module that balances power and elegance.
